The 420-hour Pre-School and Day Care Facilitator Programme provides comprehensive, career-focused training for individuals looking to build a strong foundation in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE). Combining essential theoretical knowledge with practical learning, the programme develops the skills needed to support the learning, development, safety, and overall wellbeing of children aged 3–6 years.

Participants gain hands-on knowledge in child growth and development, health and safety, inclusive practices, classroom organisation, activity planning, observation and assessment, documentation, and family engagement. The curriculum also develops essential workplace skills, including communication, digital literacy, professional ethics, and career readiness, helping learners become confident and effective early years practitioners.

Upon successful completion, learners are prepared to explore employment and apprenticeship opportunities within the ECCE sector. The programme is offered by Asian College of Teachers (ACT) in collaboration with a Dubai-based KHDA-approved training centre, combining practical preparation with industry-relevant learning for a career in early childhood education.

RPL – Pre-School and Day Care Facilitator Programme

The Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) – Pre-School and Day Care Facilitator Programme is designed for experienced Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) practitioners who want their existing skills and workplace experience to be formally recognised. The pathway validates prior learning while helping participants strengthen their professional competencies for continued career development.

The programme includes 90 hours of learning, comprising 50 hours of practical training and 40 hours of theory. Participants develop and reinforce skills in child development, health and safety, age-appropriate learning, inclusive practices, observation and assessment, and family engagement. The programme also focuses on workplace-ready skills such as communication, digital literacy, professional ethics, and career preparedness.

By recognising existing expertise and addressing areas for further development, the RPL pathway helps participants enhance their professional profile and improve their prospects within the ECCE sector. Graduates can explore opportunities in preschools, day care centres, nursery schools, and other early childhood settings. The programme is offered by Asian College of Teachers (ACT) in collaboration with a Dubai-based KHDA-approved training centre.

Eligibility

420-hour Pre-School and Day Care Facilitator Programme

Applicants must meet any one of the following eligibility requirements:

  • Completed Class 12 or an equivalent qualification with at least 6 months of relevant work experience
  • Hold an NSQF Level 3.5 qualification with a minimum of 1.5 years of relevant work experience
  • Hold an NSQF Level 3 qualification with at least 3 years of relevant work experience

RPL – Pre-School and Day Care Facilitator Programme

Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirement:

  • Completed Class 12 or an equivalent qualification
  • Have at least 12 months of relevant work experience in an early childhood education or childcare setting
